I'm a "pull up my sleeves" type of woman. I like things that are actionable.
Here’s one of my favorite activities to help children, adolescents and teens engage to their fullest potential. Shifting mentality from negative to positive is one way to turn that frown upside down. Even better, this activity can be used in any situation, whether that is teletherapy or just a parent working with their frustrated child.
We can see when young ones are struggling with their emotions. It’s easy for an outburst like “I hate this!” or “I’m never doing that again!” to erupt without warning. Applying techniques for varying emotions can help them overcome these challenges and improve everyone’s frame of mind.
Indeed, when we learn to shift our mental attitude from the negative into the positive, everyone wins.
